“Sound of the Forest” Project

IBERDROLA Foundation participates with the Biodiversity Foundation and SEO / BirdLife in the project “Sounds of the forest”, this is a recovery plan of the Cantabrian grouse in various sectors of the Picos de Europa National Park.

Environmental Forum

The IBERDROLA Environmental Forum is an innovative initiative in Spain, since 2008, bringing together external experts and heads of the main departments of the Company for open discussions.

The main aims pursued by this initiative is to debate topical issues on an annual basis and to meet the obligations acquired with external members. Therefore, each meeting includes a session in which compliance with the commitments undertaken in previous editions is analysed.

In December 2011, IBERDROLA hosted the fourth edition of its Forum. The central them was the company´s Environmental Management System, emphasizing the fact that the environment is a strategic variable in carrying out its activity.

Issues addressed in previous years include energy efficiency, climate change or biodiversity conservation. This group was set up as part of the company’s commitment towards establishing ongoing constructive dialogue with its various stakeholders, with a view to learning how they perceive its efforts in this area and their expectations in this regard.
